Jayden BezzantJayden Bezzant, our local superstar and NBL Rapid League MVP 2025 brings years of experience as a high-level point guard in the NZNBL, known for his leadership, decision-making, and ability to control the tempo of a game. That background helps him as a coach, giving him insight into reading situations, guiding players through pressure moments, and developing guards with the same poise and competitiveness he displayed on court. All that and he is a genuinely great guy who kids respect and love to learn from.
Whai School Holiday Camps
The mornings of Whai camps have a heavy focus on improving players decision making ability, while also developing skills in a fun yet challenging environment.
The afternoons will be all about PLAY - Whai mini tournaments. The players will put what they have learned in the mornings to the test and play half court 3x3 as well as full court tournaments. This will give each player lots of court time and shooting opportunities as well have having fun with their friends!

A standout in the Sky Broadband Rapid League, Sophie has become a reliable spark for the Whai with her speed, decision-making, and fearless mindset. She brings that same intensity to coaching. Sophie connects quickly with young athletes, makes training fun, and focuses on building confidence through great habits — fitness, decision-making, and shooting. Her passion for the game, paired with her genuine care for people, makes her a coach players love learning from. Off the court, Sophie is committed to continual growth as an athlete and a leader, and she’s excited to help more young players chase their potential through the Whai Academy.

Harvey has helped grow the game and setting the standard for what it means to serve our community through sport.
